How to choose the right tires

Start with your tire size. It is printed on the sidewall of your current tires, for example 205/55R16, and also on the sticker inside the driver door. Enter it in the size search to see only the tires that fit. Then choose a season: winter tires for snow and ice, all-weather tires if you want one set all year, all-season tires for mild weather or summer tires for warm roads.

Frequently asked questions

What tire size do I need?

It is printed on the sidewall of your current tires, for example 205/55R16: 205 is the width in millimetres, 55 is the height as a percentage of the width and 16 is the wheel diameter in inches. It is also on the sticker inside the driver door.

Which season of tire should I buy in Canada?

Winter tires give the best grip in snow, ice and cold. All-weather tires carry the snowflake symbol and can stay on all year. All-season tires suit mild weather. Summer tires are for warm roads only.

Should I replace all four tires at once?

Four new tires keep grip and wear even. If you replace only two, shops usually fit the new ones on the rear axle. Check your vehicle manual, especially for all-wheel-drive vehicles.

Can I mix different tire models?

It is best to use the same size, type and model on all four wheels, or at least on the same axle, because mixing can change handling and grip. Ask a tire professional if you are unsure.

Do the tires come mounted on wheels?

No. Tires ship on their own. Take them to a local tire shop to be fitted and balanced.
